10-11th November 2016

Disordered or amorphous materials are commonplace across formulation sciences, metals and glasses. While our understanding of amorphous solids has advanced there remain challenges in the reliable preparation, processing and manufacturing of such materials. This year’s BCA Industrial Group autumn meeting focuses on the challenges to materials characterisation presented by such solids. Split over two days, the first day will feature presentations from a number of experts across these fields. The second day will be dedicated to a workshop on the practise of measuring and interpretation of Pair Distribution Functions using the newly commissioned PDF beamline at the Diamond Light Source.

Confirmed speakers include

Bruno Hancock (Pfizer), Yaroslav Khimyak (UEA), Katie Ryan (SSPC) and Shen Qi (UEA).

The two-day meeting will be hosted a the Diamond Light Source in Oxfordshire and has kindly been sponsored by Diamond and Pfizer.
